The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Web site is an informational hub for CELDT District and Site Coordinators for all things related to the administration and implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often, as this Web site will be updated regularly to reflect current test administration activities.

Updates and Reminders

  • District Portal Access. Access to the secure CELDT District Portal was provided to the local educational agency (LEA) English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) coordinator. Updates from the ELPAC program are processed on a weekly basis and emails containing the login and passwords to the CELDT District Portal (to access LEA-specific data) are sent out to any newly designated coordinators. Refer to the CELDT District Portal Access Email, sent on August 15, 2018 (posted to the Communications Log), for more information. [Posted 09/19/18]
  • Access to CELDT Data and Reports. The CELDT contract will officially end on December 31, 2018 and the CELDT website and secure District Portal (www.celdt.org) will be removed. The data available on these sites and CELDT program information will no longer be available. LEA coordinators should access the CELDT website and District Portal before December 31 to obtain information and data files, as needed. LEAs may order paper report copies and CD’s containing CELDT Student Score Files for each year of the CELDT contract.Refer to the Optional Services webpage for the order forms and more information.   • 2017–18 Edition Excessive Materials. Calculations are in progress for the 2017–18 Edition. Invoices will be emailed to LEAs in October. As a reminder, Excessive Materials charges apply if the total number of scannable Answer Books received for scoring is less than 90 percent of materials ordered throughout the test administration year.   • 2017–18 Edition CALPADS Data Merge. The California Department of Education will be merging the CELDT data with CALPADS data in late September 2018 to create a file with the currently blank demographics fields. The merged file will be available to LEAs in October 2018. [Posted 07/02/18]
  • 2017–18 Edition July–June Summary Reports. These paper reports will be shipped to LEAs beginning in October 2018. [Posted 09/19/18]
