District Logon

The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Web site is an informational hub for CELDT District and Site Coordinators for all things related to the administration and implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often, as this Web site will be updated regularly to reflect current test administration activities.

Updates and Reminders

  • The CELDT District Coordinator must have a district password to logon to the secure District Portal and access various functions of the Web site such as data correction, workshop registration, ordering materials, and Pre-Identification (Pre-ID) services. To designate or update the 2011–12 Edition District Coordinator, submit a Superintendent's Designation of CELDT District Coordinator 2011–12 Edition form (SDF).
  • The Annual Assessment Window 2011–12 Edition Data Review Module (DRM) district data correction window will be open from February 13–March 9, 2012. [Posted 11/16/11]
  • The tentative 2012–13 Edition Scoring Training of Trainers (STOT) workshop dates and locations can be viewed at the Scoring Training of Trainers Workshop Web page. Spring workshops are scheduled from April 12 through May 10. An e-mail with the district’s allocation (the number of representatives who can attend the training) will be sent to the CELDT District Coordinator in January. Registration will open Tuesday, February 21, 2012. [Posted 1/17/12]
  • Attendance at a state-sponsored or local/regional STOT workshop is mandatory for individuals who will be CELDT trainers during the 2012–13 administration, including those who have attended STOT workshops in prior years. Training will cover all aspects of administering and scoring the 2012–13 Edition of the CELDT, including program updates. Upon completion of training, participants will receive a certificate of completion authorizing him or her to train others to administer the 2012–13 Edition of the CELDT. [Posted 1/8/12]
  • The Initial Ordering Window for the 2012–13 Edition will be open from March 12–March 30, 2012. NEW—Districts that do not place an order in March will not receive an Initial Order shipment in June. If the March Initial Ordering Window is missed, the next opportunity to place an Initial Order will be in July 2012. [Posted 1/17/12]
  • Remember, all e-mail communications sent during the current year by Educational Data Systems to CELDT District Coordinators and others on the CELDT e-mail lists are posted on the Communications Log. E-mails can be viewed and downloaded in PDF and provided to additional contacts as needed. [Posted 11/29/11]
  • On-Your-Own Shipping (i.e., districts shipping via their own carrier without using the online CELDT Request a Pick Up application) has been eliminated for the 2011–12 Edition with the exceptions of the end of the Annual Assessment (AA) and Initial Assessment (IA) Window deadlines (October and June administration months).

    If the deadline for placing a request for pick up for October and/or June is missed, district coordinators may ship test materials using a traceable carrier at district expense. See the 2011–12 Edition Test Coordinator’s Manual Retrieval Schedule for additional information.
