The California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Web site is an informational hub for CELDT District and Site Coordinators for all things related to the administration and implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often, as this Web site will be updated regularly to reflect current test administration activities.

Updates and Reminders

  • 2015–16 Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator Form. New districts must contact the Customer Support Center to obtain a Superintendent’s Designation of CELDT District Coordinator Authorization Request 2015–16 Edition (SDF) form. If your CELDT District Coordinator is changing, submit an Authorization Request by logging on to the secure District Portal and selecting the link to the form at the top of the page.   • 2014–15 Edition Initial Assessment (IA) and Annual Assessment (AA)/IA Combined Summary Reports. These reports will be shipped to districts in November 2015. Contact the CELDT Customer Support Center if your district has not received these reports by Monday, December 7, 2015. [Posted 09/28/15]
  • 2015–16 Edition Pre-Identification Extended Window. Pre-Identification (Pre-ID) labels are available year-round. Prices and fees for files submitted during this window and information about providing a new purchase order, and the printing schedule are available on the Pre-ID ServicesWeb page [Posted 11/02/15]
  • 2015–16 Edition Local Scoring Tool (LST). The LST is now available. Use this calculation tool to prepare a Preliminary Local Student Score Report for students who take the CELDT as an Initial Assessment (IA). The LST is available via the Quick Links section on the CELDT Web Site. [Posted 07/01/15]
  • On-Your-Own Shipping. On-Your-Own Shipping (i.e., districts shipping scorable documents via their own carrier without using the online scorable Request a Pickup application) is not necessary unless the shipping deadlines for the close of the Annual Assessment or Assessment windows are not met(October and June administration months).If the deadline for placing a Request for Pickup for October and/or June is missed, District Coordinators may ship test materials using a traceable carrier at the district’s expense.
