California English Language Development Test
One year ago, on February 1, 2009, Educational Data Systems began its
work with the California Department of Education as the new CELDT
testing contractor. As the new 2010-11 Edition CELDT testing window
approaches, Educational Data Systems and our subcontractors MetriTech,
Inc. and the Sacramento County Office of Education are preparing for a
busy school year. Underway are the implementation of the 2009 Data
Review Module and summary reports; planning and preparations for the
2010-11 Scoring Training of Trainers Workshops; and development of the
new 2010-11 tests and answer documents.
This Web site is an informational hub for the CELDT District
Coordinator for all things related to the administration and
implementation of the CELDT. Please check back often as this Web site
will be updated to reflect the current activities relevant to test
administration activities.

To receive your 2010-11 district password, you must fill out,
have your superintendent sign, and fax or send your district's 2010-11
Superintendent's Designation of the CELDT District Coordinator form.
Download this form and send it to Educational Data Systems or fax it
to 408-776-7696. Please allow 24 hours to update our records and send
the e-mail with the secure password. (Important: Your 2009-10 password
will not work after January 29, 2010.) The district password will
allow you to logon to the secure District Portal and access various
functions such as data correction, training workshop registration,
materials orders, and pre-ID.
- The 2010-11 schedule of CELDT Live! presentations is now posted
on the Workshops Web page. The next CELDT Live! presentation will be
held on February 2, 2010 and will cover the 2009 Data Review Module
system scheduled to be open from February 16 to March 8, 2010.

The 2010-11 Scoring Training of Trainers (STOT) workshop
registration will be open on March 1, 2010. Workshops are scheduled
from April 15 through May 20, with the final two in August, 2010.
Individuals who will be CELDT trainers during the 2010-11 school year
must attend one of these mandatory workshops to learn about scoring
the 2010-11 Edition of the CELDT. Important: Due to limited space at
workshops this year because of budget cuts, registration may be done
by the CELDT District Coordinator only through the secure logon. The
site locations and dates are available by first clicking on the
Workshops link, then the STOT link.

Additional materials for the 2009-10 Edition may be ordered
through approximately June 18 in order to arrive by June 30, the last
day to test for Initial Identification in the 2009-10 year. Logon to
the secure District Portal and click on Additional Orders.
